Douglas Jr. retired from the practice after more than 50 years of service. 2004 Attorney Retire Robert Spangler retired from the firm after more than 50 years of service. 1986 New Attorney Aaron Aurand joined the firm. 1981 Attorney Retire Both Judge Crouch and LM Crouch had retired, but the firm retained the name of Crouch in respect for the historic contribution of the Crouch family to the legal history of Kansas City. 1979 New Attorney Linda Sherman joined the firm. 1978 New Attorney Charles E. Weedman Jr. joined the firm. 1976 Firm Expansion Firm expanded by purchasing the adjoining Deacon Building. 1964 Firm Expansion Acquired the bank building and expanded offices. New Attorney James E. Thompson Jr. joined the firm. 1950s New Partners Firm added Robert W. Spangler and Elvin S. Douglas Jr. 1921 New Attorney Judge Crouch's son, Leslie M. (LM) Crouch Jr., joined his father in the Harrisonville practice after receiving his law degree at the University of Missouri in Columbia. 1910 New Office Opening Mr. Crouch served as a probate judge for Cass County from 1902-1910, when he opening the Harrisonville law office. 1895 Founded Leslie M. Crouch founded the firm upon graduation from Washington and Lee University.
